Helping Troubled Teens...There Are Options™

Welcome to Teen Direction. My name is Adrianne Noah, M.A., and I specialize in working with at-risk children, adolescents and young adults. These young people may be exhibiting behavior problems and/or having academic difficulties for which traditional schools, therapies or treatments have not been successful. I further define my job as one of helping parents find an appropriate program/school for their child who is experiencing difficulties academically, behaviorally, socially, and/or emotionally.

As a parent, you may have exhausted all of your local resources and are considering an alternative program/school for your child. You are on your way to a solution through Teen Direction. My services include helping you find the right placement/school for your child that is best suitable for his/her needs.

Basically there are three categories of placements. A Wilderness Program is designed as a short-term intervention to aid a child in processing his/her core issues. If these underlying issues are addressed internally, returning home can be an option. However, if a child needs more time to explore these issues, an Emotional Growth Boarding School or Residential Treatment Center may be suggested.

As a consultant I travel approximately 50 days per year, visiting programs/schools, attending professional conferences and conferring with other colleagues. This allows me to make the best possible recommendations regarding your child. Click here to learn more about me.
